My name is Chris Van Dam, and I want to thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about my life and experiences.  It is my ultimate goal in this ePortfolio to demonstrate that I have the capabilities and determination to be of service in the defense and security sector of the United States government. 

 

My Midwestern upbringing and work experience has ingrained in me a work ethic necessary to succeed in this environment. This work ethic, coupled with volunteer service, has instilled in me a desire to take the initiative and accept  responsibility in addressing issues when I see an opportunity to make a difference. 

 

As a Master's student of International Affairs at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M I have focused my research and program concentrations on Intelligence Analysis, Homeland Security, Diplomacy, and the East Asian Region.  

 

This ePortfolio is a collection of work compiled to exhibit my experience, education, and skill sets. There are also research and writing samples for specific examples of my capabilities and an up-to-date resume for more specific information.
